MARCELLA'S TO OPEN IN POLARIS+ OTHER NEWS

Marcella's(mar-CHELL-uz)- the new concept restaurante by Cameron Mitchells- will replace Martinis in Polaris. They are also looking to expand the concept restaurant into other areas in the country but this is where one gets confused. The press release that announced the opening of marcellas described it as:

a bustling, urban burst of Italian flavor and energy.” Marcella’s Ristorante is modeled after a traditional Italian cafĂ© featuring wine sold by the “quartino” (1/3 bottle), and a diverse, authentic “cicchetti” (small plate) menu. “This restaurant is going to be noisy, casual and fun,” said President Cameron Mitchell. “People can come there for dinner, a snack, or to sample some of the 50 Italian wines available.”

Mitchell announced yesterday that he'll close the Martini Italian Bistro, 1319 Polaris Parkway, on Oct. 29 and reopen it as a Marcella's Ristorante on Dec. 5...The transformation from an intimate, white-tablecloth restaurant(Martinis) to a boisterous, family-style concept(Marcellas)...Mitchell is evaluating locations in Chicago, Miami and New York City, among other major metropolitan areas, for future locations. Cameron is itching to try (Marcella's) in a suburban setting," Delp said.

The short north marcella's is anything but suburban and if they do decide to move other outlets to the 'burbs, aren't they one step away from being Buca?

BOMBAY company will be closing their Columbus area stores and all U.S outlets after being auctioned off. That means sale and more sale. Talk to their associates and they can tell you if/when the prices will really fall.

Business First is reporting that Corazon-The upscale fitness club and spa, which cost about $20 million to build, is facing a lien for more than $1.35 million filed by the general contractor that built the club, Continental Building Systems LLC, while six liens totaling more than $941,000 have been filed against the property by subcontractors through Continental.
"There are liens on the property," said Corazon President Tom Anderson. "But we have an agreement with the contractor to give us time to ramp up."
