I have to say i'm a pretty consciencious waster. meaning I inadvertently leave the lights on somewhere but when I realize this, I quickly turn it off or do something to offset this. This past Saturday night was Earth hour and the purpose was to go dark for an hour for a good cause. DO you realize how significant electricity is to our existence. Usually I would be out drinking somewhere but I was hanging out with my siblings so we decided to play a board game. Before this my little brother had been palying his wii for half of the day-augh! After the one hour passed he was right back to the wii. Besides bringing awareness to the issue, how effective was that one hour??
Why did the Kids Choice awards go on during this time aren't the tykes watching thsi supposed to be the ones most concern about this issue? effing Viacom!

Wentz, best known as the bassist in the multiplatinum band Fall Out Boy, will launch an exclusive junior sportswear line with Nordstrom in April. Zsibrita claimed that she saved Rock's semen on a tissue she stored in her freezer and that she'd prove Rock fathered her child.
But she later dropped her suit.
Rock was separated from his wife, Malaak, at the time of the fling. (Despite divorce filings last year, which were subsequently dropped, they are still together.)
During the call, Pellicano reads Zsbrita's police report to Rock and tells him her allegations aren't taken seriously by the cops.
Rock says, "I know the night we went to the Ivy she had on white pants. I only noticed cause my wife's real classy and subdued and I'm out with a girl with big [breast]s and white pants."
Pellicano then reads to Rock a portion of the report that said Zsbrita collected his semen in a Kleenex and put it in her pocket.

The magazine plans to increase fashion coverage, has hired its first style director and will begin running fashion credits. Right away, one of the new covers (there are 10 in the anniversary issue) points to the changes: Venus Williams is wearing a white Emanuel Ungaro gown and sister Serena appears in a white gown by Donna Karan. "People want to know what athletes are wearing to and from the ballpark," said Steven Binder, vice president of magazine sales. "ESPN should be doing this." It's also a great opportunity to tap into those fashion ad dollars, although the current economic climate might make that more difficult. Binder said the magazine is also seriously considering putting on an event in Milan during the spring shows. ESPN's average reader is male, just over 30 years old, with an income of less than $70,000, so labels such as Hugo Boss and Z Zegna will make more sense than a designer collection, Binder added. ESPN The Magazine's circulation last year was two million.From an editorial perspective, senior deputy editor Roxanne Jones said Kevin Stewart, style director, will oversee editorial that will be lifestyle- and fashion-focused. H&M MAKES BIG ACQUISITION

H&M has signed an agreement to acquire the privately owned Swedish fashion company Fabric Scandinavien AB that is running the store chains Weekday and Monki. The Group also designs and sells fashion through a number of own brands,such as Cheap Monday. The turnover for the financial year 2007/08 is expected toreach approximately SEK 400 million. The company will be run as a stand alonesubsidiary within the H&M Group.
- We have been impressed by Fabric Scandinavien's development for a long timeand we see a potential to develop stores and concepts in other markets. Byworking together we can accelerate the growth further. We can also do it in amore efficient manner by drawing on H&M's experience and knowledge of forexample production, logistics and establishment, says H&M's CEO Rolf Eriksen.
- H&M is a fantastic company and we have found that we share the same values.Together with H&M we will have better opportunities to truly develop our ideaswithin fashion and design. H&M's knowledge of for instance production andinternational expansion will be extremely valuable to us, says FabricScandinavien's CEO Lars Karlsson.

They will all continue to work within the company. Inconnection with the transaction the parties entered into agreement according towhich H&M has the possibility/obligation to acquire the remaining shares in thecompany within three to five years. The total turnover of the Group's businesswas approximately SEK 250 million during the financial year 2006/07, with anoperating result of SEK 67 million. The expected turnover for the financial year2007/08 is approximately SEK 400 million with continued good profitability. Theemployment conditions for the 300 employees will not change as a result of thetransaction.
The transaction is conditioned by acceptance of relevant competitionauthorities. SEB Enskilda has acted as financial advisor to H&M in connectionwith the acquisition.

COLUMBUS:THE PLACE TO BE

Columbus,OH was "the place to be" this weekend according to pagesix:

THE place to be last weekend was Columbus, Ohio, where a convergence of politics, bodybuilding and mixed martial arts drew crowds of visitors led by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The Governator was in Columbus for the Arnold Sports Festival 2008, also known simply as "The Arnold." And he didn't have time for any fans who dreamed of taking a picture with the former Mr. Universe or getting his autograph.
As Schwarzenegger was exiting the Hyatt early Sunday morning, he had several goons run ahead of him screaming at hotel customers trying to get to the airport, "Get back against the wall! Stay against the wall! Do not move!"
When Schwarzenegger appeared, flanked by men in black suits, one fan broke free and begged for a photo, saying, "Every year I try and get a picture, please? You're my idol." Schwarzenegger didn't even make eye contact as he swept by.
Some of the female bodybuilders at the competition provided the weekend's highlight on Saturday night when they went to a local bar. According to a Page Six spy, "They started wrestling a bunch of midgets. It got nasty and went all night."
Also at the convention was a team of Ultimate Fighting Championship combatants, signing autographs and getting ready for their bouts at the Columbus Arena where Anderson Silva bested Dan Henderson for the UFC middleweight title.
After the sold-out, pay-per-view fight card, UFC head Dana White said the UFC would be sanctioned in New York and Massachusetts by the end of the year - which would be music to the ears of many fans, including Reed Krakoff, president and executive creative director of retailer Coach. Krakoff has spent the last year photographing the UFC pugilists for a coffee table book, "Fighter," which his ICM agent, Kate Lee, just sold to Viking. It's described as "a look at the fighters of the UFC, showcasing both their fierce athleticism and their surprising sensitivity and grace."
