The Jackets are off to a great season so far. Marquee players are doing well and it seems the team's kinda on the same wavelength. That being said, we have to ask: why so many empty seats?? Why can't we support the professional sports team that we currently have rather than beg for something else? Hockey games are really really fun, obviously not everyone will agree with this which is fine. In any rate what can their marketing dept. do to get asses in those seats?? Pay to watch!!
Hire a couple bold name people, get them in amongst the people, place their pictures in the right media and get a good buzz rolling that way.
The face of the team(Nash) is very reclusive(not a bad thing) but something is missing. To watch Jody Shelly pummel an opponent on the ice is reason enough to watch the game.
They need to do something to the effect of how the Penguins market Sidney Crosby. He's a great player, easy on the eyes and accommodating to the fans. The jackets are doing a great job Btu we would like to see less empty seats and more fans or stans.
