It means: altruistic concern for human welfare and advancement, usually manifested by donations of money, property, or work to needy persons, by endowment of institutions of learning and hospitals, and by generosity to other socially useful purposes.This to me is one of the main things that count in life. Being able to share and or make a difference to someone else. There are tons of opportunities out there to share our time, money or company.
