• Playboy is debuting a fashion line in partnership with White Trash Charms. A preview of 4 short black/white promotional movies shot by Joaquin Phoenix was screened at Hyde Lounge in LA.


• Dylan Lauren, daughter of uber designer Ralph Lauren will open an outpost of her Dylan's candy bar in Easthampton on Friday. She describes it as a "minibar" of the flagship store in NY city.


• Ron Herman is tentatively set to open a 3,000 square foot in Las Vegas's Forums shops at Ceasars Palace Aug. 9. The store will include many apparel from it's LA store and also carry the "The Row" the Olsen twins' debut ready to wear line.


• Oprah's $2,300 a head fundraising bash on Sep. 8 for IL Senator Barack Obama (on the cover of Aug. VIBE mag) is already sold out!! The shindig will take place at her ginormous Montecito Ranch in Santa Barbara among Reagan republican country. Sounds like a heck of a good time.
