Abracci didn't last cause they had a sh!teous chef who is somehow still employed. Not sure what is sooo fanf*ckingtastic about salmon woven with asparagus with hollandaise or a pigs brain terrine-this is the French Laundry John Beck

*Can they have skin-e-max night on Friday's?? only makes sense for a place called DeepWood(snickers)



BAR 23 on the cap at the old Jeffrey Thomas spot is having their INVITE ONLY opening next weekend April 11 and then their GRAND OPENIING will be sometime after that depending on how many kinks they have to work out. I'm still not 100% hope it lives up to it's curious hype.

I really hope lotsa people show up cause he's about to blow big. he's got international cred and rumor rumor has it that he's about to john hancock with Interscope but currently on ALLIDO records. this will be the best dance party of '08 so far

VICE COLUMBUS-better than we expected

Kynt of Kynt &Vyxsin of this season's The Amazing race was actually there. Not sure about the history making part but it was good affair. The music upstairs was great. It was crazy packed but it was a good crowd. Milk bar's Kareem passed out some free CDs and definately check out their store opening THIS Saturday. We hope they build onto this and maybe switch up venues and have Aus10 DJ the next one. Vice was fun.

Spotted over the weekend at Sugar Bar was Carolina Panthers WR Drew Carter. With some friends chilling and mingling and very pleasant.

While out this weekend, we asked a certain bar owner why his establishment was not hosting DJ AM this time and he said that it would have been too expensive and they wouldn't have been able to recoup the cost. That got us thinking: 1) At $15 presale is Sky Bar going to be able to recover costs?? 2) Are they not making $$ even with more that one club/bar around that strip?

COLUMBUS PARTY SCENE....where?

Columbus can never be NYC and i hope does not aspire to be but in order for the nightlife and party scene here to exist, It needs to have recognizable names and faces. Not the in the form of open coke queens or trashtastic leeches, but people that can make a party and make you want to go to it. This could be part of the Commission to "rebrand" the city.
